Østerbø-Nesbø-Bjønestien-Vetlahelvete-Heimrebø

This hike, through the gorgeous Aurlandsdalen valley, includes lunch, and takes about 4-5 hours.

The hike starts at Østerbø and passes through Nesbø farm. From the farm we continue over “Bjønnstigen” a part of the trail that promises magnificent views over the valley. Next up is “Vetlahelvete” (tiny hell), natures own cathedral sculpted by our glaciers 10.000 years ago.

From here we turn back up the valley on the other side and reach our lunch spot at Heimrebø, looking out over stone work done by locals dated back to 1600ad. Sit back, enjoy the view and the historical surrounding while we serve up traditional and local food.

The tour ends with transport by car up to Østerbø.

  • Lunch/Dinner served by the hosts at Nesbø farm (lunch is served in the restored stone barn)
